Wish Lantern donate to Children’s Hospital
At Wish Lantern we often have requests for donations of our lanterns to families, organisations and charities but one request we received recently really pulled on our heart strings. The Wish Lantern UK team received a very heartfelt request from the Community Nursing Team at Sunderland Royal Hospital who work with children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses.
The nursing team thought it would be beneficial to have some Wish Lanterns (also known as Memorial Lanterns) to give to families they work with the opportunity to remember their children on their birthdays in a memorable way. We couldn’t agree more, so we donated a mixture of our coloured and white Wish Lanterns to the hospital so families could remember their children on their birthdays and the anniversary of their passing in a special way.
We hope the Wish Lanterns help the families, children and the hospital staff in creating a memorable moment for everyone in a time of sadness and loss.
